Transport 21 is the capital investment framework through which the transport system in Ireland will be developed, over the period 2006 to 2015. The Government has agreed a total investment for the framework of €34 billion over the ten-year period.
The Dunboyne (M3) commuter line is a €300 Million Capital project and is a major strategic project for Irish Rail. It is the construction of a twin track railway line from the planned M3 Interchange at Pace through to Clonsilla Station linking into the city centre at the new Docklands Station and providing a new service for commuters along the route. The proposed length of the new line between the M3 Interchange and Clonsilla is 7.5km and follows the route of the old Navan branch line. Three new stations will be constructed, at Hansfield, Dunboyne and Pace which will also comprise a major Park and Ride facility.
IFS have been appointed as the Construction Handover Documentation (Digital Facilities Management and Safety File) Coordinator by SIAC Construction (Main Contractor) on the new Irish Rail – M3 Rail Project; IFS will produce an Irish Rail specific, IFS Digital Project Manual™ - Digital Facilities Management and Safety File for handover on Project Completion.
