The MCHD project is a €400 million development and the largest Hospital project in this country.
New facilities to be provided by the development will include:
- New Accident & Emergency Department
- New Outpatients Department
- 12 New Theatres ICU & HDU Departments
- New Radiology Department
- 120 replacement beds, 60% of which will be single rooms
- Expansion space with capacity for over 70 single rooms
- New CSSD Catering & Waste Management Departments
- New Energy Centre
- A new 444 space carpark on 2 levels
Integrated Facilities Solutions Ltd (IFS) have been appointed by the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) Willis Risk Management Ltd to manage the co-ordination of all construction handover documentation from each of the Design and Build Contractors and produce an IFS Digital Project Manual™ (Digital Project Health & Safety File) for the Mater Campus Hospital Development (MCHD) project.
To date IFS have successfully completed MCHD (Stage 1) Enabling Works Project –and have now commenced on (Stage 2) Main Superstructure of the Main Hospital Contract, the remaining Stages (Stage 3) Major Fitout Works and (Stage 4) Major Operational & Equipment works are all due for completion by the end of 2011.
