Introduction
Croke Park is home to the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and is at the heart of Irish sporting life. In 1993 a grand plan to completely reconstruct Croke Park was unveiled. This redevelopment has been the biggest single venture ever undertaken by an Irish sporting organisation. Now a world-class stadium, Croke Park is the largest stadium in Ireland and the fourth largest stadium in Europe.
Client Relationship
IFS were appointed to the final phase (Phase 4) of the redevelopment of Croke Park, New Northern End in April 2004. The on-going development also known as Hill 16 was completed by Ireland's largest construction company John Sisk & Son for whom IFS implemented a comprehensive Digital Project Safety File (IFS Digital Project Manual™) for delivery to Croke Park on practical completion in December 2004. IFS were also appointed to complete a retrospective implementation of the IFS Digital Project Manual™ for Phases 1 (Cusack Stand), 2 (Canal End) and 3 (Hogan Stand). Since completion of this project IFS have also completed a number of additional projects such as the Floodlighting and Players Lounge and Bars.
Strategic Approach
On completion of the project IFS have continued to support Croke Park through an Annual Service Level Agreement (SLA), this SLA covers software updates, technical support, training and documentation / content updates, the SLA also addresses business continuity and disaster recovery.
