Launch of the BSI PAS 1192:3 - BIM for operations management - London
IFS Directors were in attendance at a recent communications event and launch of the British Standard Institutes, BSI specification for information management for the operational phase of assets using Building Information’s Modelling in London recently, the launch was chaired by David Philip the head of BIM implementation for the UK government BIM Task Group.
The Directors participated in one of the workshops which focused on the challenges faced by the industry and employers in specifying Asset / Employers Information Requirements (AIR/EIR) as well on working with employers to understand the benefits and pitfalls in the definition/specification and updating of models within the Asset Information Model (AIM) for whole asset lifecycle management.
