UCD, Irelands largest University has been engaged in an extensive Capital Building Programme over the last 15 years.

Digital Handover

As the Capital Building Programme began to scale-up the Buildings Office was experiencing increasing difficulties managing the handover process and utilizing the large volumes of Construction Handover Documentation as a management resource after the completion of each project.

A strategic approach was adopted by the Buildings Office allowing  a standard procedure to be introduced for all future capital projects, this required a Digital Project Handover File, IFS Digital Project Manual™ to be reviewed and approved as each project progressed to handover stage. Post handover the University Estates team now have access to IFS Digital Project Manual™ PRO to review their Operations and Maintenance information for Facilities Management on over 40 buildings across the campus.

Design & Construction Collaboration

Our cloud-based Digital Collaboration application, IFS Projects Live™ has also been implemented on two of the Universities landmark projects, the Science Centre and Sutherland School of Law.

On both projects we managed the building information for the Asset Lifecycle through design, construction and handover stages and onto the Facilities Management for the Operational Lifecycle.
